The CAT 2025 examination was conducted on November 30 in three slots across multiple test centres in India for admission to MBA and equivalent postgraduate management programmes offered by IIMs and other participating institutions.

- Enter your registered CAT user ID and password.
- After successful login, open the scorecard tab displayed on the dashboard.
- View the CAT 2025 scorecard on the screen.
- Download the scorecard in PDF format and save it for future reference.

The CAT 2025 scorecard will carry both raw and scaled information required for the admission process. The following details will be mentioned in the CAT scorecard:

CAT 2025 percentile calculation and score normalisation
Since CAT 2025 was conducted in multiple slots, the IIMs follow a standard score normalisation process to ensure fairness. Raw scores obtained by candidates are adjusted through a scaling method that accounts for variations in difficulty levels across different slots. The scaled scores are then used to compute percentiles.
Percentile scores indicate the percentage of candidates who scored less than or equal to a particular candidate. For example, a 99 percentile means the candidate has performed better than 99 per cent of test-takers. IIMs rely on scaled scores and percentiles rather than raw marks while preparing shortlists for the next selection rounds.
IIM and non-IIM cut-offs after CAT 2025 result
Following the declaration of the CAT 2025 result, individual IIMs will release their shortlisting criteria and cut-offs. Each IIM sets its own minimum sectional and overall percentile requirements, which may vary across categories. Apart from CAT scores, factors such as academic performance, work experience, gender diversity, and academic diversity are also considered.
Several non-IIM institutes, including FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, and IIT business schools, will also use CAT 2025 scores for admissions. Candidates must separately apply to these institutes and track their individual shortlisting announcements.
What happens after CAT 2025 results are announced
After the CAT 2025 result declaration, shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stages of the selection process, which typically include Written Ability Test, Group Discussion or Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. These rounds are expected to be conducted between January and April 2026, depending on the institute.
Final admission offers will be made based on a composite score that includes CAT 2025 performance and performance in subsequent rounds.
